Windows Vista Ultimate is awesome

Vista's pricing is strategic. Basic goes for $150, Home premium maybe $250. If you want Ultimate, pay $300 I've been playing for under 12 hours and so far, I'm loving every moment of it. Being a Multi-threaded Operating System, both my CPU cores are fully utilised. Unlike Win XP where its "TOO efficient", there, only about 10% is used for day to day tasked. In Vista, I'm making my system work, surprisingly the speed is good, at least on par with XP, possibly faster in some multi-tasking tasks. Having 2 GB of RAM, the majority of system tasks are loaded to RAM. This makes the whole experience smoother. Sidebar is a god-sent. Yeah, there are XP equivalents, but the gadgets (and the system graphics in general) all are very pleasing to the eyes. Very very convenient! Good freewares of 2008 . from Lifehacker I'll install Vista SP1 tonight and do my IMR assignment solely on Vista! Hope the install goes fine. Next week, I'll venture in to the unknown world of Linux. I got the 4.2GB Knoppix DVD ready to install. Oh, and I got an extra Gig of RAM to speed things up. Looking forward to an eventful weekend! Today is my last day at work. Worked for a month, so I'm happy!
